Foreign domestic helper renewals · Singapore
We take care of your helper's renewal, from the first form to the final reminder.
A new contract, the application to the Ministry of Manpower, the S$5,000 bond and the helper insurance. The app handles every part for you, and you pay only the premium and government fees.
The renewal you keep putting off, handled from the first form to the final reminder.
Your three options
Here's the same renewal, done three ways.
A maid agency.
Charges $100 to $200 in service fees per renewal, on top of the insurance. You still gather the documents yourself.
On your own.
No fees, but you track the dates, draft the contract, arrange the bond and file with MOM yourself.
With Pomelo.
You get the agency's work at do-it-yourself cost. You pay only the premium and government fees, and the insurer's commission pays for our time.
What it costs you, and how we're paid
You pay for the insurance and the government fees. Our work is free.
The contract, the permit, the bond and the reminders cost you nothing. You pay only the premium and the government's fees, and see every line before you pay. MSIG pays us a commission, so we never charge you on top.

We prepare everything.

You review, pay, and we file.

Questions
What people ask first.
Who is behind Pomelo?
A licensed MSIG agent based in Singapore. Everything happens in the app, and that is how we keep it quick and the renewal work free.
Why is everything one insurer?
We represent MSIG, and only MSIG, so every policy here is an MSIG policy. The commission they pay is the whole of how we earn, with nothing added on top of the premium and government fees.
Is the renewal service really free?
The work around your renewal costs you nothing. You pay only the insurer and the government, and see every line before you pay. The commission covers our time. A maid agency charges $100 to $200 for the same work.
Is it safe to hand over my helper's paperwork and the bond?
Your documents stay in Singapore, encrypted, used only to complete your renewal. We file with MOM only after you authorise it, the bond stays in your name, and nothing is sold or shared beyond who needs it.
What if I have a question along the way?
Reach us in the app any time. A licensed agent is accountable, and because everything is in one place we pick up where you left off.
Can I just do the renewal myself?
Of course. We wrote a full walkthrough of the whole thing, insurance, work permit and contract, for Filipino, Indonesian and Myanmar helpers renewing with the same employer: how to renew your helper's work permit and insurance yourself. Follow it on your own, or let us take care of it.
What about car and travel insurance?
Helper renewals and travel cover are both live today. Car will follow, with the LTA side handled alongside your MSIG policy. It is all the same way of working. Ask us to let you know when each is ready, and we will write to you once.
