A few common questions.
Do you only cover electric cars?
We're starting with electric, because EV owners hit their first renewal just as the dealer's package runs out, and the questions are newest there. Petrol and hybrid come next. Join the waitlist either way and tell us what you drive, it shapes what we build first.
When does my car need an inspection?
Under 3 years old, none. From 3 to 10 years, every two years. Past 10 years, every year, at an authorised centre. The same schedule applies to electric cars. We remind you in good time and point you to the nearest centre, booking takes a minute.
I've had an accident. What must I do?
Report it to your insurer and bring the car to an approved reporting centre within 24 hours or the next working day, even if nothing looks damaged. Skip that and you can lose your no-claim discount, or the claim itself. Ask in the app and we walk you through it, step by step.
Why can't I renew road tax at the last minute?
Road tax only renews once your insurance covers the whole new period and any due inspection is passed, and the systems take a few working days to sync up. The road tax payment itself stays with you. We renew the insurance, remind you about the inspection, and tell you the moment it's safe to pay.
I just bought a resale car. What do I need to sort?
Insurance in your own name from the day of transfer, road tax that may be due sooner than you think, and an inspection schedule set by the car's age, not yours. Upload the log card and we lay out the dates plainly.
Why is everything one insurer?
We represent MSIG, and only MSIG, so every policy here is an MSIG policy. The commission they pay is the whole of how we earn, with nothing added on top.
